The College has 3 NSS Units and 3 lecturers are appointed as the NSS Programme Officers. The extension activities undertaken by the NSS volunteers of the College are community development, social work, health and hygiene awareness, medical camp, adult education and literacy, blood donation camp, AIDS awareness, environment awareness etc. Three villages have been adopted for executing extension activities.
The extension activities are planned and executed in collaboration with governmental organizations such as the District Collectorate, District Employment office, District Industries Centre, Public Health Department, Police Department, Pollution Control Board, Town Panchayaths and Voluntary Organizations.
As the College is located in a rural area, extension and consultancy services are provided to the inhabitants of the nearby areas. Local farmers are enlightened on the benefits and values of organic farming, biological pesticides, bio-control methods, pollution free environment, afforestation and drip irrigation.
In the College there is a NCC unit with 155 cadets. During the year 2002-2003, 48 cadets secured B Certificates and 13 cadets secured C Certificates.
